“Wow, we received a great welcome and a food ‘starter’ kit. The place was exceptional and not what we expected for living in a field! The attention paid to being in tune with the environment was wonderful, with our own dry toilet and rain water shower, a very private spot. Whilst we were here there were some very friendly sheep grazing right by the homely camper van that we slept in, which was very comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. ”

Camper
Our VW Retro Camper is placed at the end of the village Les Autels - with a wide view on the surrounding fields. (away from our house) Camping off-grid means enjoying a simple quiet life.
A comfortable double bed is made by lowering and extending of the table. Limited electricity is provided by a life-battery. In “the Bergerie” at our house is a fridge for our guests. A fridge box is available as well. -
Bathroom on wheels
We made a sweet bathroom on wheels, with dry toilet and water sink. There is an outdoors rain shower and a camping shower (sack) available. Off grid doesn’t mean you can’t wash in style. Take a fresh rainshower and enjoy the outdoor marble sink for your dishes.
Drinking water and rainwater is available. -
Les Autels and surroundings
Les Autels is a small agricultural village where the everyday is shaped by our farmers and their animals. The village is situated in the far east of Aisne next door to the French Ardennes (2km). The coulisse landscape offers green meadows and forrest to wander. There are shops in Brunehamel at 4km, a typical North-of-France Bar-Tabac and a fine French traiteur, . In summer there are flee markets all over. All nights are still quiet and dark. A great place to look at the stars, read a book, walk or watch birds. City trips are possible to Charleville-Mézières, Laon and Reims. But maybe you want to spent all your days in the hammock …

In 2024 the camper is for rent from april 27th to 30th september. Minimum stay 2 nights.

Prices are for the whole camper.
including: tapwater, rain water, 1-gas pit indoors, 1-gas pit outdoors, BBQ, firepit, soap, fridge (in sheep shed on the yard), cool box, all kitchen tools, basic herbs and olive oil.
bathroom facilities: dry toilet, water sink (tap water), rain water shower, bed sheet and pillows. Bring your own douvet and pillow covers...
Combine your camper stay with a workshop in the knit-studio or a workshop with the sheep.
Options: 2 hours (10h-12h), 4 hours (14h-18h), day workshop (10h-18h/1hour lunch break)

We offer fresh eggs from our hens, homemade jam, organic milk and homemade sourdough bread. You can do your shopping at 4 kilometer in Brunehamel. Visit the organic market in Bucilly on saturday morning! We are happy to inform you about interesting sites and hidden treasures.
